What we do...

We are a charity that provides an activities club, social opportunities and support for our members who are living with dementia and ongoing memory problems. We also support their families and friends from our centre in Hexham and our outreach in Wylam.

The charity is managed by our team of trustees and coordinators and offers a large range of activities which focus on having fun together and building friendships.

Members are encouraged to join in our activities either with their family and friends, or use our tailored 1:1 member support, allowing them to get full enjoyment from the professionally tutored sessions. Members learn to relax and enjoy activities with us in a safe environment while family and friends have some time to themselves.

We also have a monthly Family Members Support Group on the first Wednesday of each month. This is a chance for family members to share their experiences and gain valuable information. In addition we hold Carer Information Courses where we have professional speakers such as Psychiatrists and Solicitors. There's also an informal coffee–and–chat group for family members no longer attending Chrysalis.
